Hi Admin, I didn't see my post so I re-post it again. I am requesting the closure of the thread The Evolution of God ( Before Gen 1:1) under Theological Creationism and ID. Why? Because I don't want to be abused.
Your rule # 3 says 3. Respect for others is the rule here. Argue the position, not the person. The Britannica says, "Usually, in a well-conducted debate, speakers are either emotionally uncommitted or can preserve sufficient detachment to maintain a coolly academic approach."
Ringo violated this rule. In message 62 of the thread he said,
quote: For @#$% sake, not another @#$%ing @#$hole who doesn't know what a simile is
( message 62 of 69 ) Ringo.
quote:I am really not going to get into elementary school English with you. For @#$% sake, learn what a figure of speech is.
Ringo, I know what a simile is. It is "smile" with an "i" inserted somewhere else.
Ringo, you don't know me. Grandpa Jar said I am just a kid. Therefore, Ringo, you have just abused a child on the net.
There is a specific thread for requesting moderation, See the links in my signature below. It is not appropriate to open a new thread for this purpose, given that there is an existing thread.
There is no need to repost this to the moderation thread. Other admins will see it in this thread, and can decide whether to take action.
While I agree with you that Ringo went a bit far in his comments, I don't think it serious enough to warrant more than a warning at this time. Ringo should consider this post to be the warning. If another admin disagrees with me, he/she can choose to take action.
I won't close The Evolution of God (Before Genesis 1:1) just now, in case somebody else wishes to discuss the issues. If there is no further discussion, I may close it tomorrow. I suggest you avoid further posting to the thread, if you don't want to delay the closing. I will, however, close this current thread.
Any response to this message should be in the "moderation" thread listed below in my signature.
